The Bechdel Test

The Bechdel Test is a litmus test to gauge the presence of women in cinema. In order to pass the test, the film must meet the following criteria:

1. There must be at least two (named) women characters
2. Two women must engage in conversation with each other
3. Their conversation must involve something other than the topic of men
